A worker in a wheelchair looks at a tablet on a manufacturing floor.

Our client, a furniture manufacturing company, developed a program called the Ability Centered Employment (ACE) program to assist individuals with disabilities and improve associates’ work skills. They needed a supplier who could provide payrolling services and support for this unique population of the workforce.

ACE associates gain a sense of purpose and learn on-the-job skills by:

  • Practicing social skills in a safe community
  • Learning responsibility
  • Increasing independence
  • Gaining joy, normalcy, and a sense of accomplishment

Together more than 250 associates were trained by coaches provided by local community organizations who teach on-the-job skills while monitoring quality and accuracy.

Graphic reading: 15 million+ furniture packing parts produced by ACE team members since 2016.; 120+ hardware combination packetshave been produced by ACE participants.; 250+ associates trained Through coaches provided by local community organizations; 67+ current associates working across five locations in Michigan.

At Adecco, we’re committed to making the future work for everyone. For this client, it meant helping every worker find a great job and build a successful career.
