Putting the Aspire Academy to work

Karen started with Adecco in 2021, eventually landing a temporary role with our automotive manufacturing client to support a COVID-19 helpline.

While there, Karen learned about the Aspire Academy, which offers free online learning programs to Adecco associates to take on their own schedule. She did her research and decided to take courses in customer service/call center, project management, emotional intelligence (EQ), and leadership skills.

“I was so excited when I accessed the training website for the first time and found a very good selection of free online courses,” Karen said.

Karen was quickly able to apply the knowledge she learned to position herself as a stronger associate.

She saw a return on her investment: Our client noticed that she took the initiative to take these courses and upskill herself – and that Karen was using what she learned and sharing her knowledge with her team members.

Within four months of taking the courses, Karen was promoted to a lead position and received a pay increase.

We asked Karen what she liked most about the courses, and she gave us the complete list.

• Develop new skills and take refresher courses
• Excitement about sharing this resource with my team
• Finding innovative ways to engage others, for example introduced Typing Quest as a fun way to increase typing speed
• I can stop, resume, and replay the video to refresh what I acquired before taking the assessment and preparing for the test
• Earn a badge for completing the course and passing the test
• It’s a great way of keeping track of your training history, and best of all you can share it and HR has a record of it as well
