Whether you’ve just finished school supply shopping or are relaxing after Labor Day celebrations, now is the perfect time to think about an online career training program.

At Adecco, it’s important that our associates and candidates have the opportunity to create their own path, which means providing free training and programs to help them build the future they see for themselves.

Training, also known as upskilling and reskilling, allows our associates to take courses outside of work hours. These classes can help prepare them for a possible career change, earn a certification, or learn new valuable skill sets.

Learn more about the different routes you can pursue – and the free career training that Adecco associates have access to.

Getting better at computers

It can be easy to feel like you’ve missed the boat when it comes to technology. If you’re looking to make a career change, not knowing common computer programs can feel like an obstacle too hard to overcome.

At Adecco, our associates have access to the Aspire Academy, a free and entirely online learning platform that lets associates choose from over 3,000 courses to build the skill sets needed for a new job. Many of these programs focus on learning technical skills and software programs, including Microsoft Office.

Developing an in-demand skill set

It’s always changing: Who is and isn’t hiring. Which industry is growing, and which one is laying off. Jumping from one entry-level job to another can make you feel like you’re stuck in a loop.

Aspire Academy courses can help provide you with the knowledge and capabilities to move up to higher level skilled roles, such as machine operator and clerical jobs. In addition to online courses, many Adecco locations offer forklift upskilling programs through our partnership with The Adecco Group Foundation, where associates have the opportunity to become OSHA-certified forklift operators, an in-demand qualification across the country, at no cost.

Making a career change

Earning a certificate or completing a career training course can help you make that big job change. If you don’t have much experience in a new field you want to enter, taking online career training courses will show that you’re not applying to a new field on a whim, but that you’re looking to make a serious change.

Aspire Journeys, offered through the Aspire Academy, give pathways for associates to go from an entry-level position into more advanced roles, including frontline supervisors, CNC operators, and executive assistants. These courses focus on the technical skills needed as well as soft skills, those personal qualities and people skills needed to be successful. As they work through the Aspire Journey, associates can earn digital badges for completing courses.

Developing management skills

If you know what your next step is but need a little something extra to get there, online career training can be that help. Taking formal classes to build communication and leadership skills can signal to your supervisor that you’re serious about your future and what’s ahead.

The Aspire Academy offers courses that can help prepare you to think like a manager and build those “nice-to-have” skills that set you apart from other candidates. Many of these courses can count toward Professional Development Units (PDUs) and Continuing Education Units (CEUs).

Get your diploma (or the equivalent)

Unfortunately, not completing your high school diploma can hold you back from certain jobs or getting a promotion.

Adecco associates have access to our High School Equivalency Program. They can take English- or Spanish-language coursework at their own pace and on their own timeline. The Essential Education program prepares learners for the HiSET exam, which is accepted as the equivalent of a high school degree in all states and countries. This program is offered at no cost.

Invest time, not money

At Adecco, we’re thrilled to give associates the tools and courses to build the job and career they want.

We’re able to do that thanks to our partnership with The Adecco Group US Foundation. Together, we bring the Aspire Academy, our Forklift Upskilling Program, our High School Equivalency Program, and more, to associates for free.

If you’re ready to find a new temporary job right, begin your search today, or contact your local branch to talk to a recruiter to learn about our career training programs.
