Thanks to our track record with a long-time client, Adecco has become a trusted partner and consultant when it comes to wage rates, recruitment strategies, and peak planning.
That’s why when we saw a slow uptick in workers’ compensation claims and the severity of those incidents, our onsite team wanted to address it head on and bring in Adecco’s award-winning Risk Management team.
Across our client’s sites, our experts introduced SmartBelt Wearable Technology, which monitors and corrects associates as they perform their job duties. The wearables gave our onsite supervisors insight on any bad habits and dangerous movements happening, so we could take a proactive approach to addressing them.
Our associates also received guidance in real time, because the wearable’s haptic feedback buzzed when it recognized unsafe bending, lifting, or moving.
Implementing this program at our client’s sites gave us an opportunity to engage our associates and foster a positive safety culture. Associates knew our goal was their well-being, so they were on board with adjusting their behavior and even approached us about improving their technique.
To continue improving the safety of our site, we’ve already had an ergonomic survey conducted to address remaining issues on the site now that our client’s peak season is completed.
