A worker in a white lab coat and safey glasses, leans over to type at a laptop. There are other workers in lab coats around them.

Our client, an international pharmaceutical and healthcare company, struggled with a poorly run Managed Service Provider (MSP) program. Turnover and supplier spend was high, and our client had assumed onboarding and talent management responsibilities.

When The Adecco Group took over operations in 2018, we identified multiple critical challenges in compliance, process efficiencies, outdated Vendor Management System (VMS) technology, supplier management, and overall dissatisfaction.

To address their pain points, we partnered with our sister brand Pontoon, to elevate the existing MSP and implement a Master Vendor Program (MVP) along with a new VMS across three production facilities.

In addition to consolidating suppliers to address administrative issues, supplier management, fulfillment, and visibility challenges, we decided to implement three distinct delivery components: Onsite MVP, direct sourcing, and Statement of Work (SOW).

Because of our approach, the client saved money and decreased its number of suppliers. In addition to improving retention, we also instituted a student internship program to better market the client and engage new workers.
