Our client, a national retailer, knew it was time for an updated wardrobe after a 20-year relationship with their contingent staffing partner.

They believed a preferred supplier program including three to five vendors would be the best fit, but after we uncovered their true program challenges and needs, we knew our Master Vendor Program (MVP) with onsite management was the ideal solution.

To ease our client’s skepticism, we decided to show them what a best-in-class staffing program could look like and arranged a site visit and tour with another one of our large retail clients of similar size and scope. After seeing the impact of our onsite program and analytics tools, they pivoted and decided to implement our Master Vendor Program – with onsite management at five of their largest locations.

740+ workers moved to our payroll in 3 weeks: Transitioned, recruited and placed varying skill sets to include merchandiser processors, shipping/loaders and forklift operators.

Due to the long-standing relationship and antiquated processes, developing a full-scale and custom implementation was key for ensuring success. We partnered with our client to create a phased approach for the implementation to include roles and responsibilities, timelines, assignment transition, and recruitment plans for forecasting.

23 Different languages spoken by current workforce: Customized transition process, focusing on processes and digitalization. 

Because of our client’s unique needs, we also tapped into our Risk Management, Compliance, Legal, and Human Resources experts to ensure compliance and provide consultative approach for ways their program can scale in the future. As we took over management of its seven sites, we showed our client how to embrace the latest technology, standardize their hiring processes, and improve visibility – while still supporting their diverse workforce.
