Hitting the road with Adecco’s Jobmobiles

At Adecco, when we talk about an epic road trip, we’re not counting miles logged or sunsets posted to Instagram.

Meet the Adecco Jobmobile

For almost five years, Adecco’s been on the road with mobile units (we call them the Jobmobiles) traveling across the country to hold outdoor recruiting events.

When we need to quickly hire a large number of workers or need additional recruiting resources, the Jobmobile team is called to come in.

We can drive right up to any parking lot and set up to screen and hire workers. The vehicles are their own self-contained mobile offices with desks, generators, Wi-Fi, and everything else needed to process job candidates.

Over one day or three, this unique, grassroots hiring event allows us to quickly transition a job candidate to an associate on assignment. This includes us conveniently completing their paperwork and verifying their proof of eligibility to work in the US, a process that can be particularly time-intensive.

During a three-day event, we can process more than 200 candidates. 

Maximizing mobile recruiting

While our first Jobmobile hit the road in 2019, it was a huge benefit to our clients during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, when it became essential to follow local, state, and federal social distancing guidelines. It also gave job candidates a little certainty when the job market was in flux.

Today, we have four Jobmobiles driving across the US.

Unlike usual career fairs, these events are just for our clients, and allow us to bring hundreds of interested candidates to their sites, our local branches, or a community space.

For clients whose sites are at capacity or in remote locations, we can host an onsite event without taking up their facilities or disrupting their usual operations. For those in more crowded markets, the Jobmobile allows us to host events in a myriad of spots across cities and towns.

Where’s our next stop?

The Jobmobile’s unique resources – and mobility – allow us to set up sites for many different types of needs. Recently, our Jobmobiles began offering their support to local community events hosted by Adecco colleagues and our clients, including tornado relief efforts and donation drives.
