Developing and nurturing relationships with certified diverse suppliers is a key focus for Adecco. It’s our belief that these partnerships drive innovation, support local communities, and enrich efforts to diversify the workplace. Additionally, it helps our clients achieve their diversity visions.
Our mission is to build relationships with certified minority, women-owned, veteran-owned, and other historically underutilized diverse companies, in order to have a positive impact in communities where we do business. To stay connected to these goals, we work with organizations such as the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC) and the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC).
To be recognized as a certified-diverse supplier, a business must be at least 51% owned by a minority individual, or in the case of a publicly-owned business, at least 51% of the stock is owned by one or more minority individuals (i.e. the management and daily operations are controlled by those minority group members). Minority classifications can include:
-
Minority Business Enterprise (MBE)
-
Women Business Enterprise (WBE)
-
Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB)
-
Veteran Business Enterprise
-
Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business
-
LGBT Business Enterprise
-
Historically Underutilized Business Zones (HUBZone)
-
Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE)
