CDL Class A Flatbed Driver

Location: Rhome, TX
Pay: $23.50 - $24.75/hour
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday-Friday | Occasional Saturdays
Home Daily with occasional overnight trips (1-2 times per month)

Drive for a Leading Steel Manufacturer

Adecco is hiring a CDL Class A Flatbed Driver for a growing steel manufacturing company in Rhome, TX. This position is responsible for safely transporting long steel products and structural steel materials throughout Texas and surrounding areas. The ideal candidate will have flatbed experience, a strong commitment to safety, and experience securing oversized or heavy loads for transport.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a CDL Class A flatbed truck for local and regional deliveries

• Load, secure, transport, and unload long steel products and structural steel materials

• Properly strap, chain, and secure loads to ensure safe transportation

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections

• Maintain driver logs and transportation records

• Obtain delivery receipts and customer signatures

• Verify delivery schedules, routes, and shipping documentation

• Follow all DOT, company, state, and federal transportation regulations

• Report vehicle maintenance issues, accidents, or traffic violations immediately

• Assist with shipping, receiving, material handling, and general plant operations during non-driving hours

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A license

• Minimum 24 months of commercial driving experience

• Flatbed hauling experience strongly preferred

• Experience transporting steel, construction materials, or oversized loads preferred

• Must be at least 21 years old

• No DUI convictions within the last 2 years

• No more than 1 preventable accident in the last 12 months

• No more than 3 moving violations within the last 3 years

• Ability to pass a background check, DOT physical, drug screen, hearing test, and vision test
