Adecco is assisting a leading energy technology and turbomachinery manufacturer recruiting for Mechanical Welder / Assembler opportunities in Houston, TX. Responsibilities for a Mechanical Welder / Assembler include but are not limited to:

  • Perform fitting, tacking, welding, and mechanical assembly of gas turbine and compressor components according to engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.

  • Inspect, repair, install, and maintain mechanical components, assemblies, and associated rotating equipment packages.

  • Operate welding equipment, cutting rigs, measuring tools, and fabrication machinery while maintaining required welding certifications.

  • Coordinate with Engineering, Quality Control, Material Control, and Production teams to ensure quality standards, assembly requirements, and production schedules are met.

  • Assist with equipment alignments, parts installation, rigging activities, and staging of components for assembly.

  • Follow all Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.

Candidates for Mechanical Welder / Assembler must meet the following requirements to be considered:

  • High School Diploma or GED required; technical certification and relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in rotating equipment manufacturing, welding, fabrication, or mechanical assembly within a shop environment.

  • Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, schematics, assembly instructions, and technical specifications.

  • Must be able to pass GTAW P8 6G welding qualification testing and maintain required welding certifications.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude with experience performing repairs, installations, inspections, and alignments on industrial equipment.

  • Gas turbine mechanical work, overhaul experience, and Siemens Energy turbomachinery experience preferred.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.

Pay Details: $35.86 per hour
