Position Title: Transportation Coordinator

Position Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Transportation Coordinator to support daily shipping, transportation, and distribution operations in our Vernon facility. The Transportation Coordinator will work closely with carriers, warehouses, vendors, and internal teams to ensure timely and cost-effective movement of goods. This role is responsible for coordinating shipments, monitoring delivery performance, resolving transportation issues, and maintaining accurate shipping documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments to ensure on-time delivery.

  • Schedule and track shipments with carriers and transportation providers.

  • Monitor shipment status and proactively address delivery exceptions, delays, or damages.

  • Maintain shipping records, transportation reports, and documentation.

  • Communicate with carriers, warehouses, and internal teams regarding shipment status and transportation needs.

  • Assist with routing decisions and carrier selection to optimize cost and service levels.

  • Support international shipments and customs documentation when required.

  • Investigate and resolve shipping discrepancies, claims, and customer concerns.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, transportation regulations, and shipping procedures.

  • Identify opportunities to improve transportation processes and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field preferred.

  • 2+ years of experience in transportation, shipping, logistics, or supply chain operations preferred.

  • Experience with transportation management, shipping, or warehouse systems.

  • Knowledge of domestic and international shipping processes is a plus.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Pay Details: $28.50 per hour
