Senior Manufacturing Engineer

An industry-leading manufacturer is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join its growing engineering team. This is a highly visible leadership opportunity for an experienced manufacturing professional with expertise in plastic injection molding and a passion for continuous improvement, operational excellence, and team development.
This position will oversee a small engineering team while driving process improvements, supporting new equipment installations, leading manufacturing investigations, and partnering cross-functionally with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, and Production.
What You'll Do

Lead and mentor a team of Manufacturing Engineers and Technicians

Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and cost reduction

Conduct root cause investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions

Support process validation activities, change controls, and manufacturing documentation

Coordinate Operational Excellence (OPEX) projects and Lean Six Sigma initiatives

Optimize manufacturing workflows, processes, and resource utilization

Support installation, startup, and qualification of new production equipment

Lead DOE (Design of Experiments) activities and process optimization efforts

Partner closely with cross-functional teams to resolve production challenges and improve overall plant performance

Support equipment transfers and manufacturing projects across global operations

Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards
What We're Looking For
-
Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred
-
5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience

Strong background in plastic injection molding
-
Experience within medical device manufacturing, FDA-regulated manufacturing, or high-volume plastic packaging environments

Proven leadership experience mentoring engineers and technicians

Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Operational Excellence, or Continuous Improvement programs

Knowledge of process validation, CAPA, change control, and root cause analysis

Strong understanding of automated manufacturing processes

Working knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, mechanical systems, and manufacturing equipment

Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills

Pay Details: $120,000.00 to $130,000.00 per year
