Location: Casper, WY
Job Type: Temp-to-Hire
Pay: $25-$35/hr
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m
About the Role

Adecco is recruiting on behalf of a growing trailer repair and service organization seeking an experienced Shop Manager to lead daily operations and support continued business growth.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader with a strong background in shop operations, production management, customer service, and team development. The ideal candidate will take ownership of shop performance, drive efficiency and productivity, maintain high standards of quality and safety, and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

As the operational leader of the service department, the Shop Manager is responsible for ensuring work is completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards while developing and leading a high-performing team. This individual will play a key role in optimizing workflow, enhancing customer satisfaction, and contributing to the long-term success of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily shop operations, workflow, and technician assignments.

  • Drive technician productivity and labor performance, maintaining a target of 35+ billed labor hours per technician per week.

  • Monitor repair progress, workload distribution, and department efficiency.

  • Quickly identify and resolve production delays, including parts shortages, authorization issues, and equipment concerns.

  • Ensure all repairs meet company, manufacturer, and safety standards.

  • Lead quality control efforts and minimize comebacks and warranty rework.

  • Coach, train, and develop technicians to improve skills, efficiency, and accountability.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment.

  • Partner with Service Advisors to ensure smooth communication, scheduling, and customer satisfaction.

  • Track key performance indicators and implement improvements to achieve departmental goals.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in service management, shop management, fleet maintenance, or a related leadership role.

  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.

  • Proven ability to manage shop operations, productivity, and workflow.

  • Knowledge of repair processes, quality control procedures, and workplace safety standards.

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

  • Experience with service management systems, repair orders, and performance tracking preferred.

  • 35+ billed labor hours per technician per week (40+ preferred)

  • High customer satisfaction

Pay Details: $25.00 to $35.00 per hour
