Location: Asheville, Ohio
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM-4:00 PM
Pay: $23.00/hour
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to support daily shipping, documentation, and logistics operations. This position is responsible for preparing and verifying shipment paperwork, coordinating outbound orders, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring shipments are processed correctly and on time. The ideal candidate has experience in shipping or logistics, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and can effectively manage multiple open orders simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and process shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing slips, shipping labels, and export paperwork as required.
- Verify shipment accuracy and ensure all documentation meets customer, carrier, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate and prioritize multiple open work orders to meet shipping deadlines.
- Enter and maintain accurate shipping, inventory, and billing information within ERP systems.
- Process completed orders and coordinate with billing and customer service teams as needed.
- Schedule carrier pickups and assist with transportation coordination.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between physical shipments and system records.
- Communicate shipping status, delays, shortages, and order updates with internal departments.
- Maintain organized records and documentation to support audits, customer inquiries, and traceability requirements.
- Assist with picking, packing, labeling, and shipment preparation when needed.
- Follow all company safety and quality procedures.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in shipping, logistics, warehouse administration, or a related field.
- Experience preparing and reviewing shipping documents such as bills of lading, packing slips, shipping labels, and order documentation.
- Experience using ERP systems for shipping, inventory, or billing transactions (D365 experience preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Reliable attendance and ability to work scheduled hours consistently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
- Knowledge of shipping terms, including FOB and other freight arrangements.
- Experience coordinating with production, warehouse, customer service, and billing teams.
- Familiarity with domestic and international shipping processes.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift and move packages/materials as needed.
- Ability to assist with picking, packing, and shipping activities when required.

Pay Details: $23.00 per hour
