Shipper Associate - Temp to Hire

Location: Ashville, OH
Pay Rate: $19.50/hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Shipper Associate to join our team in Ashville, Ohio. This role is responsible for accurately pulling orders, verifying products and quantities, packaging materials, preparing shipments, and ensuring orders are shipped safely and on time. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a commitment to quality, and the ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Essential Responsibilities

• Pull and prepare customer orders using pick lists and shipping documentation.

• Verify correct parts, quantities, and order accuracy prior to shipment.

• Package and palletize products according to company standards.

• Label shipments accurately and ensure all shipping documentation is complete.

• Record shipment weights and dimensions as required.

• Stage completed orders for shipment and coordinate with carriers as needed.

• Inspect products and packaging for quality and report any discrepancies.

• Maintain accurate records and support inventory accuracy efforts.

• Follow all safety procedures and standard operating practices.

• Operate material handling equipment, including pallet jacks and forklifts, as trained and certified.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

• Support additional warehouse and shipping functions as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous shipping, warehouse, order fulfillment, or distribution experience preferred.

• Ability to read and interpret shipping documents, labels, and work instructions.

• Basic math skills for counting, verifying quantities, and recording shipment information.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple orders efficiently.

• Forklift and pallet jack experience is a plus but not required.

• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting throughout the shift.

• Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.

Pay Details: $19.50 per hour
