Job Summary
Adecco Permanent Recruitment is partnered with a well-established company in the aerospace and defense manufacturing space to help them hire a Senior Industrial Engineer. This newly established position will build the facility’s Industrial Engineering capabilities from the ground up, beginning with accurate time studies, capacity models, and manufacturing performance data. The company is open to both experienced Industrial Engineers and high-potential candidates prepared to grow into a senior-level role with mentoring and development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct detailed time studies and establish accurate labor standards, cycle times, and baseline manufacturing data.
  • Develop machine and labor capacity models that improve production planning, staffing decisions, scheduling, and delivery visibility.
  • Create an Overall Equipment Effectiveness measurement system and analyze equipment utilization, downtime, and performance.
  • Identify production constraints and bottlenecks using factual analysis, with an initial emphasis on CNC machining operations.
  • Translate manufacturing data into actionable recommendations that help leadership prioritize improvement resources and capital investments.
  • Develop standard work and support future initiatives involving value stream mapping, setup reduction, cell design, material flow, and cycle-time improvement.
  • Evaluate the production impact of engineering changes, new products, and schedule adjustments across labor, equipment, tooling, inspection, and workflow.
  • Help establish Industrial Engineering tools, standards, and processes that can be expanded throughout the facility and potentially across other company locations.

Qualifications and Must-Haves
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of relevant engineering experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on experience with time studies, capacity analysis, labor modeling, standard work, or manufacturing performance measurement.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, interpret, and present production data clearly.
  • Willingness to spend significant time on the manufacturing floor observing processes and working directly with operations teams.
  • Proficiency with Excel; experience with Power BI, SQL, VBA, or similar analytical tools is preferred.
  • Exposure to CNC machining, OEE development, value stream mapping, continuous improvement, or manufacturing cell design is beneficial.
  • Applicants must qualify as a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR (22 CFR §120)


Pay Details: $90,000.00 to $120,000.00 per year
