Pay Rate: $30.23 per hour

We are seeking a detail-oriented Scientist I – Manufacturing to support the production of diagnostic products in a GMP-regulated laboratory environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent science graduate or early-career laboratory professional looking to build experience in manufacturing, quality systems, and process improvement within the life sciences industry.
Key Responsibilities
Manufacture reagents, calibrators, controls, buffers, intermediates, and other laboratory products according to established procedures.
Accurately complete batch records and manufacturing documentation while adhering to cGMP and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
Perform in-process testing using laboratory instrumentation and analyze results to support product quality and release.
Review manufacturing documentation completed by team members to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Track lot histories and identify trends or discrepancies requiring follow-up.
Perform laboratory operations including weighing, measuring, transferring, mixing, filtration, and preparation of chemicals and biological materials.
Assist with laboratory organization, 5S initiatives, and continuous process improvement projects.
Support investigations related to non-conformances, CAPAs, deviations, and quality events.
Assist with updating standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and technical documentation.
Maintain, troubleshoot, and clean laboratory equipment as needed.
Follow all laboratory safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or another related scientific discipline required.
One year of laboratory or manufacturing experience preferred (internships and academic laboratory experience may be considered).
Experience with laboratory techniques such as pipetting, weighing, solution preparation, and chemical handling.
Familiarity with cGMP, GDP, ISO standards, or quality systems is preferred.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet production deadlines.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds routinely and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Must be comfortable standing and working in a laboratory environment for extended periods.
Must follow all required laboratory safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (closed-toe shoes required).
Pay Details: $30.23 per hour
