The Role

Under general supervision, the Forklift Operator will ensure the safe and accurate receipt, storage, and shipment of food products using equipment including sit-down forklifts, stand-up forklifts, high-reach forklifts, and pallet jacks. This role is responsible for the efficient handling, storage, and distribution of goods within a warehouse environment. The ideal candidate works well with others, prioritizes safety, and contributes to a positive team culture.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Promote and support a strong safety culture throughout the facility.
Follow all safety policies and procedures at all times.
Move products and materials throughout the warehouse using appropriate equipment.
Complete equipment inspections before each shift and report any issues.
Load and unload trucks safely and accurately.
Store materials in designated warehouse locations.
Notify supervisors of product damage, quality issues, or inventory discrepancies.
Stage pallets and orders for shipment.
Maintain accurate inventory records and activity logs.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of warehouse or related experience.
Experience in a cold storage facility is a plus.
Experience operating forklifts, high-reach equipment, and pallet jacks.
Forklift certification preferred or ability to obtain certification upon hire.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Valid U.S. driver's license required.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Work Requirements
Ability to pass a background check.

Availability to work weekends and evenings when required.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Comfortable adhering to warehouse safety guidelines, including wearing closed-toe shoes.
Work Environment
Cold storage warehouse environment with exposure to temperatures ranging from refrigerated to below-zero conditions.
Exposure to warehouse elements such as noise, dust, and moving equipment.
Fast-paced environment with forklifts, order pickers, and other material handling equipment operating throughout the facility.
Physical Requirements
Sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
Communicate effectively by speaking and hearing.
Regularly lift up to 15 pounds.
Safely operate heavy machinery and warehouse equipment.
Maintain focus and attention to detail for extended periods.
Work in temperatures around 34°F for up to 10-12 hours per day.
Occasionally reach, pull, and perform other physical movements as needed.

Pay Details: $19.00 per hour
