Pay: $33.00–$35.00/hour
Contract: 1 year temp to hire

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Sr. Quality Control Technician to support quality inspection activities within a manufacturing environment. This role will perform inspections of preproduction materials and finished products, document quality findings, support nonconformance activities, and partner closely with Manufacturing and Quality teams to ensure products meet established quality standards.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with quality inspection, manufacturing processes, precision inspection equipment, ERP systems, and technical documentation, along with strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform quality inspections of preproduction materials and finished products accurately and efficiently while meeting established inspection requirements and production timelines.

• Review inspection priorities and complete assigned inspections according to schedule.

• Accurately document inspection results and transact inspected materials/lots within ERP systems.

• Identify, document, and communicate nonconformances and quality issues to Manufacturing, Purchasing, Quality leadership, and other stakeholders as appropriate.

• Support the disposition of nonconforming materials through the Material Review Board (MRB) process.

• Maintain, organize, and archive quality inspection records, reports, and metrics.

• Partner closely with Manufacturing and Quality Engineering to establish inspection criteria and implement effective inspection processes and procedures.

• Support investigations related to customer complaints and corrective action activities.

• Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and other quality-related projects.

• Attend daily tier meetings, stage-gate reviews, staff meetings, and other applicable meetings.

• Follow and support all established safety, health, business, and quality policies and procedures.

• Perform additional duties and quality-related assignments as directed by the Quality Supervisor or Manager.

Qualifications

Education

• Associate degree in Science, Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology, or a related technical field preferred.

• Equivalent combination of education and relevant hands-on experience may be considered.

Required Experience & Skills

• 3+ years of experience in quality inspection, manufacturing assembly, or a closely related role.

• Hands-on experience working in a manufacturing environment.

• Experience using inspection equipment such as microscopes, calipers, micrometers, inspection gauges, and other precision measurement tools.

• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, layouts, wiring schematics, written procedures, and work instructions.

• Working knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality inspection practices.

• Experience using ERP systems and accurately entering or transacting material and inspection information.

• Experience with Agile PLM or similar product lifecycle management systems preferred.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to accurately document quality findings.

• Ability to prioritize workload based on production schedules and customer requirements.

• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a cross-functional team.

• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain a professional and positive attitude.

• Strong attendance and reliability in an onsite manufacturing environment.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 40 lbs.

• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment.

• Ability to frequently bend, kneel, work near floor level, and climb ladders as needed.

• Ability to stand for extended periods.

• Ability to work at a computer for extended periods.

• Ability to maintain regular, predictable, and punctual onsite attendance.

Pay Details: $30.00 to $35.00 per hour
