Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite
Pay: $21.00/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 6:00 AM–2:30 PM
Worksite: 2000 Rockford Road, Charles City, IA
Position Overview
The Quality Control Scientist will support laboratory testing and quality control activities within a regulated manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for testing manufacturing samples, maintaining laboratory readiness, completing cGMP documentation, and ensuring testing is performed accurately and in accordance with established quality and safety standards.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a laboratory environment, following aseptic practices and established procedures, and performing routine laboratory tasks with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine testing of manufacturing samples using applicable laboratory assays while following good aseptic practices.
Maintain testing schedules and ensure adequate supplies of reagents and laboratory materials.
Prepare media and reagents according to established procedures.
Perform pipetting and other routine laboratory techniques accurately.
Conduct media fill inspections and equipment monitoring activities.
Complete laboratory documentation in accordance with cGMP requirements and data-integrity expectations.
Clean, maintain, and monitor laboratory equipment, instrumentation, and facility areas.
Follow all applicable Zoetis Quality Standards, Policies, and Procedures.
Support laboratory investigations with appropriate documentation and information.
Provide limited support for laboratory projects and process-related activities.
Utilize QC software and systems required for routine laboratory operations.
Work with MODA EM, zLIMS, and SAP systems as part of laboratory and quality-control activities.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized laboratory environment.
Follow all applicable laboratory safety practices and procedures.
Collaborate with laboratory and manufacturing teams to support timely and compliant testing.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working within a regulated laboratory environment. Strong candidates will have hands-on laboratory experience, understand the importance of accurate documentation and aseptic technique, and be able to consistently follow established procedures.
Experience with cGMP environments, pipetting, media/reagent preparation, laboratory information systems, or QC testing is highly beneficial.

Pay Details: $21.00 per hour
