Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is hiring for a leading global life sciences organization known for developing innovative technologies and solutions supporting genetic science, molecular biology, and next-generation sequencing applications in South San Francisco, CA.

Position Overview
The Quality Assurance Specialist will provide quality oversight and compliance support across manufacturing, product development, and sustaining operations within a regulated biotechnology environment.
This role will support quality assessments, internal audits, investigations, CAPAs, change controls, deviations, and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of Quality Assurance experience in biotech or a related life sciences environment, strong knowledge of ISO 9001, and experience with root cause analysis and internal auditing.
The position will also provide an opportunity to contribute to the development and use of AI within Quality operations.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct facility, personnel, and documentation quality assessments to identify errors and ensure compliance with site procedures and ISO 9001 requirements.
Provide Quality Assurance support for product development and post-market activities involving consumable, hardware, and software products supporting genetic science and next-generation sequencing applications.
Support and lead product transfers and sustaining activities.
Evaluate non-conformances and support investigations into customer complaints.
Develop and manage CAPAs and identify opportunities to improve quality processes and systems.
Support rapid-response processes and deviation events.
Escalate critical deviation-related issues to appropriate quality and business leadership.
Review and approve procedures, training documents, forms, deviations, and process documentation.
Review and approve process and engineering change controls.
Serve as a Quality representative during Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and investigation activities.
Monitor and review key quality performance metrics.
Conduct internal quality audits and support resolution of identified non-conformities.
Identify and contribute to continuous improvement opportunities.
Participate in Practical Process Improvement (PPI) initiatives.
Support the development and implementation of AI-enabled solutions within Quality operations.
Ensure quality activities remain aligned with applicable regulatory and site requirements.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in a science-related field.
2+ years of Quality Assurance experience, preferably within biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, or another regulated life sciences environment.
Working knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements.
Experience conducting or supporting internal audits.
Experience with quality investigations, non-conformances, CAPAs, or deviation management.
Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a regulated environment.
Ideal Candidate
The strongest candidates will have a background in Quality Assurance within biotech or life sciences and hands-on experience with audits, investigations, CAPAs, deviations, change controls, and continuous improvement. Candidates who are comfortable working cross-functionally and interested in applying emerging technologies such as AI to Quality processes will stand out.

Pay Details: $30.00 to $34.00 per hour
