We're partnering with a well-established manufacturing company seeking an experienced Project Manager / Estimator to oversee custom metal fabrication projects from initial quotation through final delivery.

This individual will serve as a key point of contact between customers, engineering, production, purchasing, and quality teams, helping ensure projects are accurately quoted, efficiently executed, and delivered on time and within budget.

What You'll Be Doing

• Review customer drawings, specifications, and project requirements
• Develop cost estimates for fabricated components, weldments, assemblies, and related manufacturing work
• Evaluate material, labor, machining, finishing, and subcontracted service requirements
• Prepare customer quotes and support business development efforts
• Coordinate awarded projects through production and shipment
• Monitor project schedules, costs, and overall performance
• Work cross-functionally with engineering, production, purchasing, and quality teams
• Manage changes in project scope and communicate impacts to customers and internal stakeholders
• Help identify manufacturing efficiencies and resolve issues that could impact cost, quality, or delivery

What We're Looking For

• Several years of experience in metal fabrication, manufacturing, estimating, project management, or a related field
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and fabrication prints
• Strong understanding of metal fabrication processes, welding, machining, and manufacturing operations
• Experience building labor and material cost estimates
• Knowledge of fabricated steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and related materials
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in a manufacturing environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and common CAD software such as SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD

Preferred Experience

• Structural steel or miscellaneous metals estimating
• CNC machining, laser cutting, plasma cutting, press brake, or related fabrication processes
• ERP/MRP systems
• Job costing and manufacturing financial analysis
• Industrial fabrication, custom manufacturing, or production-based project management

Ideal Background

This opportunity is best suited for someone who understands how fabricated products move from drawing to finished part. The ideal candidate can review a print, evaluate manufacturing requirements, anticipate potential production challenges, and develop accurate, competitive project estimates while successfully managing delivery expectations throughout the life of the project.

Pay Details: $40.00 to $45.00 per hour
