Project Accountant
Construction Accounting | Job Costing | Full-Time
Are you an experienced Project Accountant with a background in construction accounting and job costing? We're seeking a detail-oriented accounting professional to oversee the financial performance of construction projects from start to finish. In this role, you'll partner with project managers to manage budgets, billing, job costs, and reporting to help deliver successful, profitable projects.
Responsibilities
Manage project budgets, job costs, and financial reporting
Monitor project profitability and analyze cost variances
Process vendor and subcontractor invoices
Prepare progress billing, AIA billing, and track accounts receivable
Maintain accurate job costing for labor, materials, and equipment
Prepare Work-in-Progress (WIP) reports and support month-end close
Track change orders, contracts, retainage, and lien waivers
Collaborate with project managers to ensure projects stay on budget and on schedule
Qualifications
2+ years of Project Accountant or Construction Accountant experience
Experience with job costing, project billing, and construction accounting
Proficiency with QuickBooks, Sage, Viewpoint, Procore, or similar ERP/accounting software
Strong Microsoft Excel skills
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

Pay Details: $60,000.00 to $75,000.00 per year
