Position Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead manufacturing operations within a fast-paced production environment. This role is responsible for directing and motivating production personnel to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity objectives while ensuring compliance with company policies and operational standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, manufacturing experience, and a passion for continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop production team members to achieve operational goals and maintain a positive work environment.
- Manage staffing levels, scheduling, overtime, attendance, and employee performance.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and employee development.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, quality, and operational requirements.
- Support employee training and onboarding efforts to promote safe and effective work practices.
- Schedule and coordinate production activities to meet customer and business demands.
- Monitor production performance and resolve operational issues to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
- Analyze production data and implement corrective actions to improve productivity, quality, and cost performance.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement through lean manufacturing principles and process optimization initiatives.
- Collaborate with production, maintenance, engineering, quality, and leadership teams to improve operational performance.
- Maintain accurate production records, reports, and documentation.
- Investigate production, equipment, quality, and safety issues and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Support inventory accuracy and material flow throughout the operation.
- Participate in audits and ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Assist with departmental budgeting, goal setting, and performance metrics.
- Respond effectively to changing production priorities and operational challenges.

Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 3 years of leadership or supervisory experience.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer applications.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Kaizen, 5S/6S, TPM, or similar operational excellence methodologies.
- Strong team-building and employee development experience.
- Demonstrated ability to drive productivity, quality, and safety improvements.
- Experience working in a unionized manufacturing environment is a plus.
- Self-motivated leader with the ability to effectively implement change and improve operational performance.
Pay Details: $72,000.00 to $85,000.00 per year
