Powder Coater

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Powder Coater to join our production team. In this role, you will prepare, coat, inspect, and finish metal components while ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. The ideal candidate has previous powder coating or industrial finishing experience and takes pride in producing a quality finished product.
Responsibilities
Prepare metal parts for powder coating by sandblasting, removing rust and oil, and ensuring surfaces are clean and ready for finishing.
Hang parts using proper techniques to maximize coating quality, chemical drainage, and production efficiency.
Set up, operate, and monitor powder coating equipment, including electrostatic spray guns, feed hoppers, and powder reclaim systems.
Apply powder coatings to steel, aluminum, hardware, accessories, and other metal components according to customer specifications.
Monitor curing oven temperatures and exposure times to ensure proper coating adhesion and finish.
Perform temperature checks and oven analysis using monitoring equipment and chart recorders.
Inspect finished products for quality, including:
Proper coating thickness
Complete coverage
Surface texture and appearance
Adhesion testing to ASTM standards
Assist with developing and documenting best practices for hanging parts and production processes.
Perform routine preventative maintenance and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Support team members in meeting quality standards and production goals.
Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe equipment operation.
Qualifications
Previous powder coating, paint line, or industrial finishing experience preferred.
Knowledge of powder coating systems, curing ovens, and finishing processes.
Ability to read work instructions, production schedules, and specifications.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Ability to safely lift, move, and handle metal parts and materials throughout the shift.
Experience with ASTM adhesion testing or other quality inspection methods is a plus.

Pay Details: $20.00 to $25.00 per hour
