Plumber – Corrections Facility

Location: Decatur, GA
Pay Rate: $28hr- $30hr

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Plumber to perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of plumbing systems within a correctional facility. The ideal candidate will have hands-on plumbing experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work safely in a secure, regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair plumbing systems, pipes, fixtures, valves, drains, and water lines.

• Troubleshoot leaks, clogs, drainage issues, and plumbing system malfunctions.

• Perform preventative maintenance and emergency repairs as needed.

• Inspect plumbing systems to identify issues and ensure proper operation.

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.

• Use plumbing tools and equipment safely and effectively.

• Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities.

• Follow all safety procedures, facility regulations, and security protocols.

• Work professionally with facility maintenance staff and correctional personnel.

Qualifications

• Previous hands-on plumbing experience required.

• Knowledge of plumbing systems, fittings, piping, valves, and drainage systems.

• Ability to diagnose and repair plumbing issues independently.

• Familiarity with plumbing tools, equipment, and preventative maintenance.

• Ability to lift equipment and materials and perform physical tasks as required.

• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and problem-solving skills.

• Must be able to pass required background checks and facility security screening.

• Plumbing license or trade certification preferred, if applicable to the facility's requirements.

Work Environment

This position is located inside a correctional facility. Candidates must be comfortable working in a secure environment and complying with all facility rules, security procedures, and access requirements.

Pay Details: $28.00 to $30.00 per hour
