Outpatient Physical Therapist – 6-Month Contract Position: Outpatient Physical Therapist Employment Type: Contract Duration: Approximately 6 months Start Date: ASAP Schedule: Full-Time Location: Rural outpatient clinic Pay Range: $45–$60 per hour, based on experience and qualifications Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Outpatient Physical Therapist for an approximately six-month contract assignment at a friendly outpatient clinic located in a rural community. This is an excellent opportunity for a Physical Therapist who enjoys working in a close-knit clinical environment and values personalized patient care. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations for assigned patients. Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs, goals, medical history, and physician direction. Implement, modify, and progress treatment plans as clinically appropriate. Provide functional treatment programs designed to help patients safely return to daily and community activities. Monitor patient progress and adjust interventions to support successful outcomes. Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, exercises, precautions, and ongoing care. Maintain accurate, timely, and complete clinical documentation. Ensure treatment is provided in accordance with valid physician orders and applicable authorization requirements. Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations, professional standards, and applicable practice guidelines. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute ideas to improve patient care. Support students and participate in clinical education activities when appropriate. Pursue ongoing professional development and continuing education. Promote a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Collaborate effectively with other members of the healthcare team. Qualifications Doctorate or degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program. Active Physical Therapy license in the state where services will be provided. At least 1 year of outpatient clinical experience required. Current CPR certification required. Strong clinical reasoning and communication skills. Ability to independently evaluate patients and develop appropriate treatment plans. Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care. Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative clinical team.
