Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is hiring a Contract Pharmacist in Houston, TX. This role is onsite/in person at a leading acute care academic medical center.

Position Type: 13-week contract (with possibility of extension)
Location: Houston, TX
Schedule: Day Shift – 4x10-hour shifts (8:00 AM – 7:00 PM), Monday–Friday with rotating on-call responsibilities
Pay: $67.00 – $69.00 per hour

Job Summary
The Contract Pharmacist will provide clinical pharmacy services within a high-acuity acute care hospital environment. This role is responsible for reviewing medication orders, supporting safe medication management, collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, and providing clinical pharmacy expertise to optimize patient care outcomes.
Responsibilities
  • Review medication orders for accuracy, safety, and appropriateness.
  • Provide clinical pharmacy support for complex patient populations in an acute care setting.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare teams to optimize medication therapy.
  • Identify and resolve medication-related issues and provide clinical recommendations.
  • Document clinical interventions and maintain accurate pharmacy records.
  • Utilize electronic medical record systems, including EPIC (preferred).
  • Support pharmacy operations and participate in rotating on-call responsibilities.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of recent hospital pharmacy experience required.
  • Strong clinical pharmacy experience in an acute care hospital setting.
  • EPIC experience preferred.
  • Active Pharmacist license required.
  • BLS Certification required.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and critical-thinking skills.


 



Pay Details: $67.00 to $69.00 per hour
