Type: 16-week contract
Shift: Day Shift | 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM | 4x10s | Rotating days, including weekends
Pay: $79 to $85 per hour
Responsibilities of the Pharmacist Include:
· Process, enter, verify, and distribute medication orders accurately and in a timely manner while ensuring compliance with hospital policies, Joint Commission standards, and regulatory requirements.
· Ensure medication therapy is safe, effective, and cost-efficient while achieving optimal therapeutic outcomes.
· Review medication orders for appropriate indication, dose, route, frequency, allergies, duplicate therapy, and potential drug interactions.
· Monitor medication utilization and identify opportunities for medication safety and quality improvement.
· Perform quality assurance activities within the pharmacy department.
· Participate in clinical rounds, medication management activities, remote order verification, and other pharmacy services as assigned.
· Assist with medication procurement and inventory management while promoting medication safety standards.
· Support compliance with formulary requirements and documentation standards.
· Participate in departmental cost-saving initiatives and process improvement projects.
· Supervise and provide guidance to pharmacy support personnel.
· Perform additional pharmacy-related duties as assigned.
Requirements of the Pharmacist Include:
· Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy (PharmD preferred).
· Active and unrestricted California Pharmacist license.
· Minimum of 1–2 years of pharmacist experience required.
· Must have inpatient hospital pharmacy experience.
· BCLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
· Strong knowledge of hospital pharmacy operations, medication safety, and clinical pharmacy practices.
· Experience with Cerner electronic medical records and Pyxis medication dispensing systems is preferred.

Pay Details: $79.00 to $85.00 per hour
