Forklift Operator

Location: Near Lockhart, TX
Shift: Overnight | 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM

We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team near Lockhart, TX. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe movement, storage, and shipment of food products within a cold-storage distribution environment. The ideal candidate has forklift experience, values teamwork, and takes pride in maintaining high standards of safety, accuracy, and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate sit-down forklifts, stand-up forklifts, high-reach forklifts, and pallet jacks safely and efficiently.

• Load and unload inbound and outbound shipments accurately.

• Move, stage, and store products in designated warehouse locations.

• Perform daily pre-shift equipment inspections and report maintenance concerns.

• Maintain accurate inventory records and warehouse documentation.

• Identify and report damaged products, inventory discrepancies, or quality concerns.

• Prepare orders and pallets for shipment.

• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and warehouse standards.

• Support a positive team environment and assist with other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of warehouse, distribution, or related experience.

• Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and high-reach equipment required.

• Forklift certification preferred; ability to obtain certification upon hire required.

• Cold storage or refrigerated warehouse experience is a plus.

• High school diploma or GED preferred.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.

• Valid U.S. driver's license required.

• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

• Must adhere to all warehouse safety requirements, including wearing appropriate footwear and personal protective equipment.

Work Environment

This position is located in a cold-storage warehouse where employees regularly work in refrigerated conditions and may occasionally be exposed to below-freezing temperatures. The environment includes continuous activity from forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment, along with exposure to noise, dust, and other warehouse-related conditions.

Physical Requirements

• Stand, walk, and sit for extended periods during the shift.

• Safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment.

• Regularly lift and move items weighing up to 15 pounds.

• Reach, pull, bend, and perform repetitive movements as needed.

• Maintain focus and attention to detail throughout the workday.

• Work in temperatures around 34°F for up to 10-12 hours per shift.

• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.

Pay Details: $19.00 per hour
