We are hiring an experienced Nurse Manager to join a respected nonprofit behavioral health organization in Avondale, Arizona. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for an RN who enjoys supporting clinical teams and improving care for individuals experiencing mental health, substance-use, and crisis-related needs.
The Nurse Manager will oversee daily nursing operations, develop staff, and help ensure patients receive safe, compassionate, and consistent care.
What You’ll Do

Provide daily leadership, guidance, and support to nursing staff

Assist with hiring, onboarding, scheduling, training, and staff development

Monitor employee performance and provide ongoing coaching and feedback

Promote safe, compassionate, trauma-informed, and patient-centered care

Ensure nursing practices meet organizational and regulatory requirements

Coordinate staffing coverage based on patient and operational needs

Collaborate with medical providers, behavioral health professionals, and operational leaders

Support crisis response, de-escalation, and emergency clinical situations

Review clinical documentation, medication practices, incidents, and quality concerns

Participate in audits, corrective-action plans, and quality-improvement initiatives

Help develop and maintain nursing procedures, workflows, and clinical standards

Create a supportive, accountable, and team-oriented work environment
What We’re Looking For
-
Active and unrestricted Arizona Registered Nurse license
-
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred
-
Previous nursing leadership experience as a Nurse Manager, RN Manager, Nurse Supervisor, Charge Nurse, ADON, or similar position

Behavioral health, psychiatric, crisis, detoxification, addiction-treatment, or substance-use experience strongly preferred

Knowledge of nursing standards, medication administration, clinical documentation, and patient safety

Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

Ability to remain calm and provide clear direction in fast-moving clinical situations

Genuine interest in serving individuals with complex behavioral health needs
