Experience:
- Basic networking knowledge (VLANs, ports, subnets, cabling types)
- Understanding rack units (RU), power distribution, UPS / PDU systems
- Ability to read network diagrams
- Safe handling of fiber and power
- Basic CLI familiarity (Cisco, Juniper)
Duties
- Install network switches and Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) devices. Patch end-user network ports to switches.
- Assist network engineers in network deployments.
- Perform basic network troubleshooting.
- Conduct site readiness checks and surveys to assess network infrastructure and prepare for installation. Power up devices and verify their operational status.
- Escalate configuration-related issues to network engineers.
Requirements:
- Individuals must have their own transportation as they may commute to nearby campuses within New Brunswick and Piscataway
- Good communication skills and professionalism required
- Must be punctual, dependable and reliable
Pay Details: $35.00 to $40.00 per hour
