Position Overview
Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is supporting a healthcare organization seeking a Medical Assistant to support daily clinical operations and provide high-quality patient care in an outpatient setting.
The ideal candidate will have experience with patient intake, clinical procedures, provider support, electronic health records, and care coordination. Candidates with family practice, specialty care, internal medicine, HMO/PPO experience, or bilingual English/Spanish skills are highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Support daily clinical care activities and assist providers in delivering quality patient care.
Perform patient intake, including:
Obtaining vital signs
Reviewing medical history
Medication reconciliation
Documenting patient information accurately
Coordinate patient care according to provider direction, clinical standards, and company policies.
Perform clinical procedures including:
Injections
Ear lavage
Other delegated clinical tasks
Assist providers with minor procedures and surgical services.
Maintain clinical logs, including exam room checks, temperature monitoring, and required documentation.
Submit electronic referrals and coordinate additional patient services.
Manage patient portal communications and respond to electronic patient messages.
Process medication refill requests and prior authorizations according to established protocols.
Answer and return patient calls while providing excellent customer service.
Schedule appointments and support front-office clinical workflows.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program OR:
Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
Current CPR/BLS certification for Healthcare Professionals through the American Heart Association.
Minimum of 1 year of Medical Assistant experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
Active CMA or RMA certification.
Experience in:
Family Practice
Internal Medicine
Specialty Care
Outpatient clinical settings
Experience working with:
HMO
PPO
Medicare populations
Bilingual English/Spanish skills preferred.
Strong communication, organization, and patient service skills.

This is a great opportunity for a Medical Assistant looking to gain experience in a collaborative outpatient healthcare environment while supporting providers and delivering excellent patient care.
Pay Details: $22.00 to $24.30 per hour
