Medical Assistant/22/HCD021

Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is hiring a Medical Assistant in Banning, CA! This role is in person / onsite. Please read below and apply with an updated resume for consideration:

Type: Seven-month contract, with opportunity for extension or full-time offer
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay: $20.00 to $24.00 per hour

 

Responsibilities of the Medical Assistant:

·       Greet patients and escort them to exam rooms using ACE standard work.

·       Record vital signs and document patient history in the electronic medical record.

·       Prepare patients for examinations and assist clinicians during visits.

·       Administer injections as directed.

·       Perform point-of-care testing (POCT) and EKGs.

·       Maintain quality control (QC) logs and ensure clinical documentation is accurate.

·       Answer and return patient phone calls.

·       Process paperwork, faxes, and manage provider in-baskets.

·       Coordinate patient flow and assist with daily clinic operations.

·       Maintain accurate patient records using the electronic health record (EHR).

Qualifications for the Medical Assistant:

·       High School Diploma or GED.

·       Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program.

·       Current Medical Assistant certification required.

·       Previous Medical Assistant experience required.

·       Experience working in a primary care or outpatient clinic preferred.

·       Knowledge of Epic EMR is highly preferred.

·       Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
