Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and team-oriented Medical Assistant to support patient flow and assist providers with the management and treatment of patients in a busy outpatient clinic environment.

The Medical Assistant will work with patients across the lifespan, including infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients. This role combines clinical and administrative responsibilities and requires strong communication, organization, teamwork, and attention to detail.

Qualified LPN candidates are also encouraged to apply. LPN compensation is $24.50–$32.77 per hour, based on experience.

Key Responsibilities
Manage patient flow throughout the clinic and help ensure an efficient patient experience.
Assist providers with patient care, examinations, treatments, and procedures.
Complete standard patient rooming processes.
Obtain and document vital signs and other pertinent patient information.
Administer immunizations, injections, and medications as directed by the provider and within scope of practice.
Collect and process laboratory specimens.
Perform phlebotomy duties as qualified.
Perform clinic laboratory testing as assigned.
Provide telephone support and facilitate communication between patients and providers.
Assist with prescription refill requests.
Support front-desk and patient check-in activities as needed.
Assist with prior authorizations.
Order and maintain clinical supplies.
Perform X-ray duties when appropriately qualified and after successfully completing the required X-ray operator examination.
Communicate patient progress, concerns, questions, and problems to the appropriate members of the healthcare team.
Collaborate with clinic supervisors, managers, providers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Maintain patient confidentiality and follow established clinical, safety, and organizational procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Patient Population
This position supports a diverse patient population across a wide range of ages, including:

Older adults/geriatric patients
Required Qualifications – Medical Assistant
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) – Required.
Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program – Required.
Medical Assistant program must be accredited by a recognized organization such as ABHES or CAAHEP, or the candidate must have graduated from an accredited Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) program through a recognized national healthcare organization.
Current BLS certification – Required.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Ability to work with patients of diverse ages, backgrounds, and needs.
Required Qualifications – LPN
Qualified LPN candidates may also be considered for this position.

Active Minnesota LPN/PN license – Required.
Minnesota license must be active and verifiable at the time of application.
Current BLS certification – Required.
Ability to provide patient care within the LPN scope of practice.
Strong communication, clinical, and organizational skills.

Compensation
Medical Assistant: $22.23–$27.37 per hour, based on years of experience.

LPN: $24.50–$32.77 per hour, based on experience.

Final compensation will be determined based on qualifications, experience, credentials, and applicable organizational pay practices.
