Medical Assistant

Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant for a short-term contract opportunity in Irvine, CA. This is an excellent opportunity to join a patient-focused healthcare team and provide clinical and administrative support in an outpatient setting.

Job Details

·       Location: Irvine, CA

·       Contract Dates: Two to Four month contract, possibility of an extension

·       Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

·       Pay:  $22 to $24.34/hr

Responsibilities

·       Provide high-quality patient care through face-to-face, telephone, and electronic contact

·       Prepare patients for examinations, treatments, monitoring, diagnostic tests, and procedures

·       Collect and document patient information, including vital signs, chief complaints, medications, allergies, and health risk information

·       Assist physicians and nursing staff with injections, EKGs, phlebotomy, and other patient care procedures

·       Coordinate patient care as directed by physicians, company standards, and policies

·       Assist with tasks, phone calls, and patient messages and document all actions

·       Complete accurate and thorough EMR and paper-based documentation

·       Prepare and clean patient rooms and set up instruments and equipment according to protocol

·       Maintain infection control and safety standards

Requirements

·       Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience

·       Completion of a Medical Assistant program

·       BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA), or willingness to obtain by date of hire

·       Strong teamwork, communication, and multitasking skills

Preferred Skills

·       Phlebotomy certification

·       Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience

·       Strong patient communication and organizational skills

·       Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment

Pay Details: $22.00 to $24.00 per hour
