Medical Assistant

Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is hiring a Medical Assistant in Bethpage, NY! This role is in person / onsite. Please read below and apply with an updated resume for consideration:

 

Type:                     Two-month contract, with opportunity for extension or full-time offer

Schedule:              Monday – Friday, 8:00AM – 5:00PM

Pay:                       $20.00 to $24.00 an hour

Specialty:              Primary Care  

 

Responsibilities of the Medical Assistant:

·       Prepare patients for examinations and procedures by taking vital signs, documenting medical histories, and assisting with medical tests.

 

·       Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians.

 

·       Keep accurate and up-to-date medical records, including recording patient information, test results, and treatment plans.

 

·       Perform routine administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, billing managing patient data.

 

·       Sterilize medical instruments and equipment to maintain a clean and safe environment.

 

·       Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care within a multidisciplinary team.

 

·       Maintain inventory of medical supplies and restock as necessary.

 

·       Adhere to HIPAA guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.

Qualifications for the Medical Assistant:

·       High school graduate or GED equivalent

·       Certification from an accredited program

·       Proven experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting.
