Material Handler / Production Support Coordinator

Adecco is hiring immediately for a Material Handler / Production Support Coordinator in a manufacturing environment. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates seeking to start or grow their career in manufacturing and logistics operations.

Job Summary

The Material Handler / Production Support Coordinator is responsible for moving manufacturing orders, parts, and materials throughout the facility to support production schedules and workflow efficiency. This role utilizes electric carts, forklifts, hand trucks, and other material handling equipment to transport materials, pull orders from stock, and ensure timely delivery to production areas.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while collaborating with multiple departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Move manufacturing orders, parts, and materials throughout the facility using electric carts, forklifts, hand trucks, and other material handling equipment.

  • Pull manufacturing orders and materials from inventory and stock locations.

  • Support material delivery, assembly, and distribution activities to help meet production schedules.

  • Coordinate with Planners, Buyers, Quality, Production Management, and Manufacturing personnel to ensure efficient material flow.

  • Create and maintain production job packets with required documentation for Production, Machine Shop, and Paint Shop operations.

  • Collect, track, verify, and maintain data from multiple sources.

  • Utilize software applications to compile, update, and review department reports, timelines, and presentations.

  • Assist with developing and improving processes and tools that enhance workflow, inventory traceability, and supplier deliverable tracking.

  • Provide data, information, and support regarding departmental processes and procedures.

  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment while following company policies and safety standards.

Qualifications

Required

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).

  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and work effectively under close supervision.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment and handle material movement activities.

Preferred

  • Two (2) years of experience in a similar manufacturing, warehouse, or production support role.

  • Forklift experience or certification.

  • Experience with inventory management, production documentation, or material planning processes.

Experience Level

  • 0–2 years of related experience.

  • Entry-level position with little or no prior relevant experience required.

  • Work is prescribed and completed under close supervision with limited autonomy.

  • Duties, methods, and tasks are clearly defined and communicated.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.

  • Ability to safely operate material handling equipment.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Pay Details: $18.00 per hour
