Material Handler

Adecco is currently assisting a local Customer in their search for Material Handler positions in Columbia, SC This is a great opportunity to further your existing skills as a Material Handler while learning new ones to assist you in your career.

Responsibilities

·       Operates power equipment (i.e. electric pallet, walkie rider, sit-down forklift) in a safe and efficient manner to

·       locate, put away, stack, and move checked-in products to correct storage locations daily. This includes

·       stocking, filling bin boxes, facing cartons, checking for product mixing, and rotating product where needed;

·       monitoring stock on shelves or bins; replenishing stock from reserves; maintaining control of products in reserve stock area or will call area.

·       Receives product by unloading trucks using forklift, pallet jack, electric pallet jack, or by hand.

·       Ensures shipments received are in good condition and accurate by: inspecting freight for damage and signing freight

·       Ensures all required products have verified bar code labels and readable Johnstone stock numbers by scanning products,

·       printing labels, resolving labeling discrepancies, and completing necessary paperwork.

Requirements

·       High school or GED

·       Experience with pickers, forklift, RF scanners, and inventory management systems.

Pay Details: $18.00 per hour
