Schedule: Full-time

Position Overview

We are seeking a Manufacturing Technician II to support production operations within the Genetic Sciences Division (GSD) in Austin, TX. This position is responsible for producing high-quality products within downstream filling and packaging operations, including filling, capping, labeling, and assembling sub-assemblies and finished goods.

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, dependable, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Experience in life sciences manufacturing or a similar field is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform manufacturing activities with precision, consistency, and attention to detail.

  • Fill, cap, and label vials, bottles, and tubes according to established procedures.

  • Assemble sub-assemblies and finished goods while maintaining product quality standards.

  • Safely operate manual and semi-automated filling equipment.

  • Work in standard and clean manufacturing environments while following all required PPE and safety procedures.

  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with team members to meet daily production goals.

  • Complete required training within established timelines.

  • Follow applicable ISO, quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.

  • Interact with internal teams to support smooth manufacturing operations and customer satisfaction.

  • Identify and report deviations from established procedures or accepted practices.

  • Maintain a high level of accuracy to prevent non-conforming products.

  • Participate in one-on-one training until fully proficient in assigned processes.

  • Perform preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment as needed.

  • Maintain strong attendance and punctuality.

  • Follow established policies, procedures, work instructions, and production schedules.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent, or relevant experience.

  • Ability to follow detailed procedures, policies, and production schedules independently.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and changing manufacturing environment.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Ability to safely operate manual and semi-automated manufacturing equipment.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • Dependable attendance and punctuality.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a life sciences, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or similar manufacturing environment.

  • Experience with filling, capping, labeling, or packaging operations.

  • Experience working in a cleanroom or controlled manufacturing environment.

  • Familiarity with ISO and regulated manufacturing standards.

  • Experience with manufacturing equipment and preventative maintenance.

Physical Requirements

The position requires the ability to lift and move:

  • 10 lbs. regularly

  • 25 lbs. frequently

  • 50 lbs. occasionally

Candidates should be comfortable standing, moving, and performing repetitive manufacturing activities throughout the workday.

Work Environment & Dress Code

  • Standard and clean manufacturing environments.

  • PPE must be worn as required.

  • Dress Code: Closed-toe shoes, jeans, and T-shirt.

  • Employees must follow all applicable safety and PPE requirements.

Pay Details: $22.00 per hour
