Job Summary
The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment, machinery, and facility systems. This position supports safe and efficient operations by performing preventive maintenance, diagnosing equipment issues, and completing repairs that help minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production equipment, machinery, and facility systems.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance according to established schedules.
- Diagnose equipment malfunctions and determine appropriate corrective actions.
- Repair or replace defective components including motors, pumps, bearings, conveyors, belts, gears, and hydraulic or pneumatic systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical manuals, and equipment diagrams.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns.
- Complete maintenance records, work orders, and equipment documentation accurately.
- Assist with equipment installation, setup, modifications, and relocations.
- Partner with production and operations teams to support equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
- Follow company policies, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Required
- Experience as a Maintenance Mechanic in a manufacturing, industrial, production, or facility environment.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Ability to read and understand technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
