Responsibilities for Machine Operator Mail Sorter include but are not limited to: 

·       Operate high-speed mail inserting machines to assemble and process mail materials.

·       Load paper and other materials into machines throughout the shift.

·       Monitor machine performance to ensure smooth operation and minimize jams or equipment issues.

·       Set up and adjust equipment to accommodate various mail pieces and production requirements.

·       Verify the accuracy and quality of inserted materials and completed mailings.

·       Troubleshoot minor machine issues and escalate more complex mechanical problems as needed.

·       Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance tasks to help ensure optimal equipment performance.

·       Maintain accurate production records and reports.

·       Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals and deadlines.

·       Follow all safety procedures and operational guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.

·       Stand and work on the production floor for extended periods, including up to 8 hours during a shift.

·       Participate in a structured training program and continuously learn machine operations and production processes.

·       A comprehensive 4-week training program will be provided

·       One-hour in-person panel interview.

·       Production floor tour included as part of the interview experience.

 

Candidates for Machine Operator Mail Sorter must meet the following requirements to be considered: 

·       High school diploma or equivalent preferred; no college degree required.

·       Prior experience operating machinery, high-speed inserters, or working in a manufacturing/production environment is preferred but not required.

·       Ability to learn machine operations through a structured training program.

·       Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.

·       Dependable with a consistent attendance record and strong work ethic.

·       Ability to read and follow job orders, production schedules, and operational instructions.

·       Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

·       Strong organizational and time management abilities.

·       Ability to work independently with limited supervision as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

·       Physical stamina to stand for extended periods throughout the workday.

·       Flexibility to work overtime when business needs require.

Pay Details: $27.00 per hour
