We are seeking a skilled Machine Builder/Assembler who enjoys working with their hands, interpreting technical drawings, and bringing complex industrial machinery to life. In this role, you will assemble, fit, test, and troubleshoot custom equipment while ensuring every machine meets high standards for quality, safety, and performance.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a passion for precision assembly in a manufacturing environment.
What You'll Do
- Assemble mechanical components, subassemblies, and complete machines using engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.
- Position, align, and install machine components to precise specifications.
- Fasten parts and assemblies using a variety of mechanical fastening methods, including bolts, screws, rivets, and clips.
- Install and mount electrical enclosures and related components required during the manufacturing process.
- Perform precision fitting work using techniques such as filing, honing, scraping, drilling, and tapping to achieve proper tolerances and fit.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments, including micrometers, dial indicators, pi tapes, gauges, and other inspection tools to verify dimensional accuracy.
- Conduct equipment testing, inspections, and functional checks to ensure proper operation and performance.
- Support machine startup activities, verify controls and wiring, and assist with troubleshooting as needed.
- Communicate material, tooling, and component requirements to support production schedules and project timelines.
- Operate overhead cranes, jib cranes, electric hoists, forklifts, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and productive work environment while adhering to all quality and safety standards.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts and support additional projects as needed.
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing, machine assembly, industrial equipment assembly, maintenance, or a related mechanical field preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, engineering drawings, and assembly instructions.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
- Working knowledge of mechanical assembly techniques, fitting, drilling, tapping, and alignment procedures.
- Solid math skills, including the ability to perform measurements and calculations accurately.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Current driver's license and the ability to safely operate powered industrial equipment, or willingness to obtain required certification.
- Ability to lift, move, and position machine components safely and effectively.
- Commitment to quality workmanship, safety, and continuous improvement.

- You enjoy solving mechanical problems and troubleshooting assembly challenges.
- You are detail-oriented and committed to precision.
- You work well independently while also collaborating effectively with production, engineering, and maintenance teams.
