Inspection and Packaging Technician

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform assigned duties in accordance with documented procedures and work instructions

• Perform singulation processes using tools such as saws, routers, punches, or manual methods

• Inspect parts during and after singulation for defects, damage, or dimensional non-conformance

• Follow work instructions, travelers, and customer specifications for packaging requirements

• Package finished parts using appropriate materials (trays, reels, vacuum seal, ESD-safe packaging, etc.)

• Label, barcode, and document completed work orders accurately

• Handle delicate and precision components to prevent contamination, scratches, or breakage

• Perform in-process quality checks and escalate issues to Quality or Engineering as needed

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area in accordance with 5S standards

• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and proper use of PPE

• Assist with inventory control of packaging materials and finished goods

• Support cross-functional teams with rework, sorting, and special packaging requests

• Meet daily production targets and support on-time delivery goals

 

Work Experience & Skills

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent required

Experience:

• 1+ year of experience in a manufacturing, packaging, or assembly environment preferred

Skills / Knowledge:

• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle small, delicate components

• Ability to read and follow work instructions, drawings, and travelers

• Basic knowledge of quality inspection practices

• Familiarity with ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) handling procedures preferred

• Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination

• Basic computer skills for data entry and production tracking

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

• Work performed in a manufacturing floor or controlled environment (may include cleanroom conditions)

• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods

• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds as needed

• Fine motor skills required for handling small components and packaging materials

• Good vision (with or without correction) for detailed inspection work

• Exposure to production equipment and packaging materials

• Use of PPE required (safety glasses, gloves, ESD protection as applicable)

Pay Details: $20.00 to $25.00 per hour
