HR Administrative Coordinator

Location: Durham, CT
Pay: $24.00 to $28.00 per hour, based on experience
Schedule: Full-time

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced HR Administrative Coordinator to support the daily administrative and human resources functions of a manufacturing company in Durham, CT.

The ideal candidate will have previous HR administrative experience and a strong understanding of how manufacturing companies operate. This position requires someone who is already comfortable working in a manufacturing environment and understands the importance of supporting production employees, maintaining accurate documentation, meeting deadlines, and communicating effectively across departments.

Previous administrative experience within a manufacturing company is required for this position.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide daily administrative support to the human resources and management teams
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records
  • Assist with new-hire paperwork, onboarding, orientation, and employee documentation
  • Support employee attendance tracking and timekeeping processes
  • Assist employees with general HR-related questions and direct more complex matters to the appropriate team member
  • Prepare, organize, and maintain personnel files, reports, spreadsheets, and other business records
  • Communicate with production employees, supervisors, managers, and outside contacts
  • Help coordinate interviews, pre-employment requirements, and new-hire start dates
  • Support the distribution and collection of company policies, forms, and employee communications
  • Assist with benefits, payroll, training, and compliance-related administrative tasks as needed
  • Monitor deadlines and provide timely follow-up on outstanding requests
  • Maintain office supplies and assist with general office organization
  • Handle sensitive employee and company information with professionalism and discretion
  • Provide additional administrative and HR support based on business needs

Qualifications

  • Previous HR administrative experience required
  • Previous administrative experience within a manufacturing company required
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing operations and workplace environments
  • Comfortable communicating with production employees, supervisors, and management
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Strong data entry and documentation skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet important deadlines
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle confidential information appropriately
  • Professional, dependable, and comfortable working independently
  • Ability to learn new computer systems and company procedures

Pay Details: $24.00 to $28.00 per hour
