Housekeeper – Direct Hire | Whitewater, WI

Adecco is currently hiring Housekeepers for a Direct Hire opportunity with a respected assisted living and nursing care facility in Whitewater, WI.

This is a great opportunity for someone who takes pride in creating a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents. As a Housekeeper, you will play an important role in supporting the health, safety, and overall comfort of residents by maintaining resident rooms, bathrooms, dining areas, and common spaces.

Schedule: 1st Shift | 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Pay Rate: $14.50 per hour
Employment Type: Direct Hire – You will be hired directly by the facility!

Available Positions

We currently have two Housekeeping positions available on the Assisted Living floor:

Position 1: Sole Housekeeper

• Responsible for cleaning 13 resident rooms and bathrooms daily

• Clean and maintain common areas

• Clean the unit dining room

• Clean public/restroom areas

• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents and visitors

Position 2: Assisted Living Housekeeping Team

• Work alongside another Housekeeper on an Assisted Living floor with 23 resident rooms

• Each Housekeeper will be responsible for approximately 11–12 resident rooms

• Clean resident rooms and bathrooms

• Work together to clean and maintain the unit dining room

• Maintain common areas and public bathrooms

Job Duties Include, But Are Not Limited To:

• Perform daily housekeeping duties as assigned

• Clean and maintain resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, hallways, dining areas, and other facility spaces

• Follow established cleaning schedules and procedures

• Clean and sanitize bathroom fixtures, mirrors, windows, floors, carpets, and other surfaces

• Clean fixtures, ledges, heating and cooling units, hallways, stairways, and elevators

• Dispose of waste and trash according to established sanitation procedures

• Empty and reline trash receptacles

• Perform apartment or resident room turnover cleaning as needed

• Maintain assigned work areas in a clean, safe, comfortable, and attractive condition

• Follow infection control procedures, standard precautions, and isolation procedures as directed

• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) while performing assigned duties

• Follow all established safety procedures when using cleaning equipment and supplies

• Report hazardous conditions, damaged equipment, accidents, or incidents to the appropriate supervisor

• Clean and properly store housekeeping equipment and supplies at the end of each shift

• Maintain and clean work carts and supply equipment

• Communicate supply needs to the appropriate supervisor

• Assist the Maintenance Department with stripping, waxing, buffing, and shampooing floors as needed

• Attend required staff meetings, training, in-service education, and on-the-job training programs

• Maintain confidentiality of resident information and respect all resident privacy, personal rights, and property

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping, janitorial, hotel, healthcare, assisted living, or nursing home experience is preferred

• High School Diploma or GED is required

• Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English

• Must be dependable and able to follow established cleaning schedules and procedures

• Must be comfortable working in an environment that provides care and services to elderly residents

• Must have strong attention to detail and take pride in maintaining a clean and welcoming environment

• Ability to follow infection control, safety, and confidentiality requirements
