Food Prep Specialist

Adecco is searching for experienced Food Quality Control Technicians in Lowell, MA! These are temp-to-hire opportunities.

Hours: 6:00AM-4:30PM, Monday-Friday

Pay: $15/hour

Job Summary:

The Preparation Associate (Food Prep and Hand Build) is responsible for the preparation of portions, ingredients and recipe components. Responsible for food handling in accordance with food safety protocols based on Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) plans.

Responsibilities:

• Set up for food production, and open and weigh materials for formulas.

• Ensure accuracy of scales used for batch preparation.

• Perform routine quality checks, including inspecting all raw materials in preparation for production.

• Maintain accurate relieving documentation of raw materials.

• Maintain cleanliness of work area.

• Follow all plant safety regulations and GMPs. 

• Work is performed while standing, sitting and/or walking. 

• Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision and hearing. 

• Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations. 

• Requires bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching. 

• Requires the ability to lift, carry, push or pull medium weights, up to 60 pounds.

• Requires activities involving being around moving machinery, exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, food allergens and gas.  

• Must be able to work in the heat/steam and cold environment and do manual labor.

   

Requirements:

• High School degree or equivalent required.

• Minimum of 2+ years of relevant experience preferred.

• Must have knowledge of rotating products in accordance with first in, first out rule.

Pay Details: $15.00 per hour
