Tinter (Lab Tech II) - Ontario, OH

We are seeking a Tinter (Lab Tech II) to join our Tint/UV team in Ontario, Ohio. This role is responsible for accurately tinting ophthalmic lenses according to work order specifications while maintaining quality, consistency, and production standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Tint lenses according to work ticket specifications.

• Check lenses for proper color and intensity.

• Mark lenses for gradient tints and remove markings before tinting.

• Clean, maintain, and replace tint baths to ensure quality and consistency.

• Prepare tint and UV baths and monitor proper temperatures.

• Assist in other department areas as needed.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.

• Previous manufacturing, production, or laboratory experience preferred.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to distinguish color variations.

• Basic math and reading skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

• Stand and walk for extended periods.

• Frequently lift up to 20 lbs.

• Perform repetitive hand movements and fine motor tasks.

• Ability to use close vision, color vision, and depth perception.

Work Environment

• Fast-paced production/laboratory setting.

• Exposure to chemicals used in the tinting process.

• Moderate noise levels.

• Overtime may be required based on business needs.

Safety

• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

• Wear required PPE, including safety glasses and closed-toe shoes.

• Participate in required safety training.

Pay Details: $15.00 to $16.50 per hour
