| Director of Therapy & Rehabilitation Services Location: Arkansas Position Type: Permanent Start Date: ASAP Schedule: 8-hour days | 30 hours guaranteed per week Pay Range: $115,000–$135,000 annually, based on experience Setting: Inpatient (Swing Bed) & Outpatient We are seeking an experienced Director of Therapy & Rehabilitation Services to oversee the daily operations, clinical performance, and strategic direction of rehabilitation services within a healthcare facility. This leadership position offers the opportunity to work across both inpatient swing-bed and outpatient therapy settings while providing clinical leadership, staff supervision, and support for therapy programs. The Director will collaborate with physicians, facility leadership, and interdisciplinary teams to promote high-quality patient care, improve outcomes, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain operational efficiency. Position Responsibilities Oversee the daily operations and clinical performance of therapy and rehabilitation services. Provide leadership, supervision, and support to all PT and PTA staff. Perform and provide evaluations for physical therapists as needed. Develop, implement, and oversee effective therapy programs and treatment strategies. Monitor patient outcomes and promote high-quality, patient-centered care. Ensure compliance with Arkansas state and federal healthcare regulations. Collaborate with physicians, leadership, and interdisciplinary care teams. Assist with departmental budgeting, resource management, and operational efficiency. Support staff development, clinical education, and performance improvement initiatives. Manage a mixed caseload across inpatient swing-bed and outpatient services. Adapt effectively to the needs of a smaller healthcare team and rural-care environment. Requirements Active Arkansas Physical Therapist (PT) License Current AHA BLS Certification NPI number required 2–5 years of management experience in a therapy setting preferred Strong communication and patient education skills Ability to work independently in a smaller team environment Familiarity with EMR and clinical documentation systems Strong time-management and organizational skills Adaptability and comfort working across inpatient and outpatient settings Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in a rural or critical access hospital setting Experience managing or supervising PT and PTA staff Experience working with both inpatient and outpatient therapy caseloads TruBridge/CPSI EMR experience strongly preferred Schedule & Work Environment 8-hour workdays 30 hours guaranteed per week No weekends currently required No holidays currently required Combination of inpatient swing-bed and outpatient therapy services Black scrubs required Compensation Annual Salary: $115,000–$135,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
