Controls Engineer

Position Summary

The Controls Engineer designs, programs, and supports industrial automation and control systems. This role is responsible for developing automation solutions, troubleshooting control systems, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Design and develop PLC, HMI/SCADA, and industrial control systems.
  • Program and support PLCs, HMIs, and robotic systems.
  • Design control system architecture, electrical schematics, and control panels.
  • Specify and integrate instrumentation and industrial networks.
  • Design, build, maintain, and improve automated assembly and test equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve control system and automation issues.
  • Assist with project planning, feasibility studies, and cost estimates.
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to ensure successful project execution.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and technical issues throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Stay current on emerging automation technologies and industry best practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field preferred. Equivalent work experience will be considered.
  • Five or more years of experience in industrial automation or controls engineering.
  • Proficiency with PLC programming, HMI/SCADA development, robotic programming, and industrial communication networks.
  • Experience with electrical control system design is a plus.
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and continuously improve technical skills.


Pay Details: $95,000.00 to $105,000.00 per year
